Alexandre is the one behind the camera. Growing up with a photographer mother, he was introduced to the basics of photography at an early age. Over the years, throughout our travels and adventures, first in France and then around the world, his eye and technique steadily evolved. Today, as we look back on our journey across the Americas, each image captures a piece of its essence. Our travels are not only the story of our life, but also a story we tell through photographs. And even though our journey has now come to an end, the images remain as we continue building our life in Canada with our two children.

The camera is no longer in his hands as often as it once was, back when it felt like a part of him, almost an extension of his arm. Yet whenever the moment arises, he still feels that same spark in his hand, that familiar tremor that reminds him the passion is very much alive.

As for me, Claire, it’s words that fascinate me… They bring the images to life and turn them into a captivating story!

Celui qui se tient derrière l’appareil, c’est Alexandre. Ayant grandi avec une mère photographe, il a très tôt été initié aux bases de la photographie. Au fil de nos voyages et de nos aventures, d’abord en France, puis ailleurs dans le monde, son regard et sa technique se sont affinés. Aujourd’hui, en repensant à notre traversée des Amériques, chaque image en capture l’essence. Notre voyage est à la fois l’histoire de notre vie et une histoire que nous racontons en photos. Et même si notre périple est maintenant terminé, les images demeurent tandis que nous poursuivons notre vie au Canada avec nos deux enfants.

L’appareil photo n’est plus aussi souvent entre ses mains, autrefois comme une partie de lui, presque le prolongement de son bras. Pourtant, dès qu’une occasion se présente, il ressent encore cette même vibration dans la main, ce frisson familier qui lui rappelle que la passion est toujours là.
